SUNSHINE HOTEL

Location:  Set along unspoiled white sandy beach, lined with palm trees and washed by warm, turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, Sunshine Hotel is located in Matemwe on the north-east coast of Zanzibar, about an hour’s drive from Zanzibar Stone Town and the airport.

Accommodation:  Stylish and cozy, Sunshine Hotel is a small 15-room beach hotel, comprising of 12 Sunshine Suites located in 3 bungalows with 2 rooms upstairs and 2 on the ground floor; a Honeymoon Suite located on the beach with a private garden and a plunge pool on the verandah; the Blue Breeze Suite; and Garden Retreat with the view to the gardens.

All rooms are furnished with a comfortable queen size bed with large mosquito net, private bathroom with shower and toilet, a ceiling and standing fans, safe deposit box, stone bench with cushions, wooden wardrobe, cool ambient lights, spacious balcony or veranda. There are no family, or interconnected, rooms. There is no air conditioning in the rooms; the lodge is designed to use the ocean breeze to cool down the rooms.

Facilities & Services: The hotel has a restaurant and bar serving a wide variety of delicious food and drinks, and a cool and comfortable lounge area. There is a swimming pool.

The hotel can arrange scuba diving or snorkeling at Mnemba Atoll with Dive Point Zanzibar. The hotel is set right on the beautiful stretch of beach so you can go for long walks, ride a bike or just sunbathe.
