Dear Partners,
Greetings from Tanzania.
There is a sigh of relief now that international travel is gradually picking up. Thanks to the vaccination rollout, we can see confidence to travel gradually returning.
Although Tanzania opened its borders to international travel way back in June 2020, very few foreign visitors made it to the destination due to travel restrictions in their home countries.
For the past one year, Tanzania has been receiving tourists, albeit few, visiting the game parks and our islands. This has given the destination the experience and confidence in handling guests during the COVID-19 pandemic, in accordance with the WHO strict health protocols.
Tanzania is primarily a nature destination, where visitor focus is the game parks and beach holiday which are not crowded and easy to introduce recommended health protocols including social distancing. These are safe locations, visited by tourists who are screened on arrival, with hotel personnel and driver-guides on the ground regularly checked.
The safety and wellbeing of our guests, staff and the public remains our highest priority.
